hsbshare streamlines the production process by tying production documents to 3D models, communicates critical production decisions to the architect and builder, and deepens the design process via versioning, combining different 3D models, and more.
hsbcad is a 3D CAD/CAM software developer for the offsite construction industry. The Belgian company develops applications for Autodesk® AutoCAD® and Autodesk® Revit®, and cloud solutions that enable streamlined workflows from design to fabrication.
The use of prefabricated building components isn’t new to the construction industry, but the process can be riddled with inefficiencies, leading to cost overruns. hsbcad realized that it could use cloud-based file sharing to solve these issues for its customers, while also improving the design process.
How hsbcad solved it with Forge.
To develop a solution for its customers, hsbcad turned to the Forge platform. The result was hsbshare, which streamlines the production process by tying production documents to 3D models, and communicates critical production decisions to the architect and builder.
“We start where the architect stops. Our customers are free to construct any design, with any technology, and with any production system — now, and in the future.”
