Forge DevCon Keynotes Released
Master of Ceremonies Jim Quanci, Senior Director Forge Partner Development
Jim will guide attendees through the “big picture” as he ties together themes addressed by a range of keynote speakers.
"Enabling the Last Mile" with Duleesha Kulasooriya, Head of Strategy and Research, Deloitte Center for the Edge
Deloitte will be discussing how the needs for scale and fragmentation are colliding in many industries. Software usable by all is creating a landscape where consumers, makers, SMBs, and large corporations now play in the same field regardless of their size. A new “last mile” of manufacturing is emerging through a layer of small-scale manufacturing shops that customize and personalize products to match individual and niche needs. Come hear about the manufacturing landscape of the future, and why cloud products are the keys to the industry’s democratization.
“The Future of Forge” with Brian Roepke, Senior Director, Forge Product Management
Brian will illuminate the future of Forge, starting with where Forge is today. Hear about how Forge Viewer, Model Derivative, Data Management and Design Automation web services have seen steady improvement over the last year, including support for BIM 360. Then find out what’s up and coming for Forge, including support for industry standard WebHooks and (at last) Reality Capture, plus the extension of Design Automation from AutoCAD to Revit and eventually Inventor.
Brian will be looking at Forge applied to Construction and BIM 360, and showcasing SmartVid.io’s cutting-edge photo and video processing service that applies machine learning to construction sites.
Brian will also be detailing where Forge is headed over the coming year, including Autodesk’s plans to launch a set of “creation” services based on the new “High Frequency” technology they have developed to deliver browser-based, highly collaborative creation experiences (the same technology at the core of Autodesk’s next-generation AEC technology, Quantum). You’ll hear from partner LimbForge how they are automating the design and creation of prosthetic limbs, working closely with Autodesk to transform the high-frequency technology from a set of Autodesk internal web services into tools partners can use to deliver tailored design experiences through a browser on almost any device.
Forge “Fireside Chat” and Q&A, Scott Reese, Autodesk SVP of Construction & Manufacturing, and Brian Mathews, Autodesk VP of Cloud Platforms
In this session, Scott and Brian will discuss their vision of where Forge is headed and how this will create a competitive advantage for Autodesk partners and customers. The session includes a live Q&A with the audience, so this is your chance to pose questions directly to senior decision-makers at Autodesk.
And don’t forget there are the over 50 Forge classes taking place Monday and Tuesday, a prime opportunity to get up close and personal with Forge experts and users. Classes range from business, to technical, to industry-specific sessions, and we suggest reserving your favorites soon to avoid waiting in a queue. You can browse all of the classes here.
